My role at the Leicester Life Skills Centre is that of Functional Skills Teacher, teaching maths, English and ICT.

I have a passion for education, especially for teaching young people that feel that others may have “given up on them”.  In my lessons my mantra is ‘Turn your “I can’t” in to “I can try”, and I encourage everyone to achieve their best!

My background is varied, starting work at the age of 15 filling the "Pick and Mix" at Woolworths.  Over the years I have tried many jobs and it wasn’t until I was in my late twenties that I discovered that I loved teaching people how to do things.  It was at this time that I decided to go to mollege and start working towards my teaching qualifications.  Since then I have worked for a nationwide charitable organisation as a tutor, skills for life and functional skills Teacher and centre manager, and briefly worked in a prison teaching maths and English before finding my dream job at TwentyTwenty.
