As Corporate Manager, my remit is to engage businesses to offer work-related opportunities to our young people.  We know that the higher the number of encounters young people have with businesses, the more likely they are to successfully progress into employment.

My aim is to get as many employers as possible into our Lifeskills Centres, sharing their expertise on key skills required for work.  Employers will be involved in sessions such as CV writing, interview techniques and networking.  Our young people will also be going out to businesses for tours, taster days and work experience.

Having managed the Leicester Lifeskills Centre for nearly three years, it’s been a delight to see first-hand how young people have benefitted from interactions with employers.  Who knows?  A job or apprenticeship could be a positive outcome for them.

Outside of work, I enjoy singing, dancing, swimming and socialising with friends.  Oh, and I love laughing!
