My role at the Loughborough Life Skills Centre is as a Journey to Work Coach (J2W). This is a new role within the charity which offers specific one to one support for the young people who attend our courses.

I started working for Twenty Twenty four years ago as a volunteer mentor helping young people to unlock their potential and improve their future. This has been the most empowering experience that I have been a part of so far.

I have a passion for helping young people gain new skills and build on what they are good at. I believe that I succeed in this role by being honest and sharing my life experiences. I am very excited to work for Twenty Twenty alongside all the staff that share the same values and desire to influence young people and guide them into the life they deserve despite the struggles that they have faced.

In my spare time I coach football to (U13s) in Nottingham, which gives me a platform to pass down my ageing skills. I also have an allotment which is handy considering that my household are veggies! (I’m not..)
