[email protected] There are a number of fantastic fundraising events that you can take part in as part of our #Twentytwentyjn2020 campaign #TwentyTwenty in2020 Launch 22nd January, 4pm – 6pm Morningside Arena, Leicester Please come along to hear stories of success from our young people and meet a range of TwentyTwenty supporters from funders and the business community to students and education partners. 2. National Education Day 24th January Support our social media campaign to help demonstrate that there are alternatives to mainstream education. 3. National Apprenticeship Week 15th - 22nd February Follow some of our students who have moved onto apprenticeships promoting this fantastic avenue to employment. 4. National Careers Week 2nd – 7th March Involving corporate partners and supporters speaking about a range of career opportunities to our young people. 5. International Women’s Day 8th March Promoting our Love4Life project supporting vulnerable girls. We will also hear from some inspirational women we work with. 6. Charity Ball Fundraiser 14th March, Nottingham Hosted by KPMG. Tickets on sale from January. Promises to be an enjoyable night and a great networking opportunity! 7. National Autism Awareness Month April Many of our students are autistic; we will promote autism awareness, inclusion and self-determination for all. 8. Teacher Appreciation Week 4th – 8th May Hear from our teachers and our students on our approach to developing key employability skills. 9. Volunteers Week 1st- 7th June Volunteers are vital to our work. This week we will promote both our business and student volunteers and the great work they do! 10. Marketing Derby Bondholder networking event. 18th June A great networking opportunity for our community in Derby. We will also hold a similar event in Leicester TBC. 11. 2020 Cricket Match. June TwentyTwenty will celebrate our connection with the Twenty20 cricket! Details of the event TBC. 12. Summer Celebration parties. July Leicester & Derby Key social events bringing together all of our supporters. Venues and dates released soon. 13. International Youth Day 13thAugust Lead by our young people and celebrating their successes through an international social media campaign. 14. Back to School Campaign 24th August – 5th September Promoting our alternative provision through case studies to young people who might be worried about their future. 15. National Charity Day 5th September Working with our charity partners to celebrate the vital we do to support vulnerable people in our communities. 16. World Suicide Prevention Day 10th September Marking this day by highlighting the work we do with young people, demonstrating suicide is preventable, it’s not inevitable. 17. Mental Health Day 10th October We will hold a series of events to fight the stigma of mental illness that affects many of our students. 18. TwentyTwenty in the Community October To raise awareness of our work in our local communities we will hold a number of events with community partners. 19. Enterprise Week 15th – 21st November An opportunity for our business supporters to engage with our students through a range of enterprise initiatives. 20. Supporter Celebration Event/ ‘Thankathon’. December Rounding off the year with a celebration event for all supporters of our #TwentyTwentyin2020 campaign.
