Before I came to TwentyTwenty, life was much harder for me. I used to get angry and take it out on other people. I used to lash out at my friends, my teachers and most of all, my mum. I used to push people away.  As a child I witnessed things that no child should see and this made upset and angry.

When I was 13 I got kicked out of school but this time it was for good. Before coming to TwentyTwenty my behavior was really bad. In school I used to get angry and throw my work on the floor if I couldn’t do it. I can’t imagine doing that now. I was referred to TwentyTwenty by my key worker but I didn’t like coming here at first. I used to sleep in my lessons and not do any work.

After getting to know the staff I started to like it here and started doing work.  Because of this the staff would take me out to places. One of the best moments so far was when Prash took me to the music studio where I did a recording session and got to sing some tracks.

TwentyTwenty is different to school because it is more relaxed and you can learn at your own pace. The staff are more chilled out and more understanding. At TwentyTwenty I have gained a photography qualification and improved my Maths and English.

My life is different now because I am doing my GCSE’s. I’m not sure yet what I want to do when I leave here but I’m confident that when I do leave, I will get the help and support to help me progress to the next stage of my life.
